More great book news with music legend Jona Lewie agreeing to be part of the forthcoming fundraising book that I am putting together for the Beating Bowel Cancer charity. Best known for his two 1980 hits, You Will Always Find Me In The Kitchen At Parties and Stop The Calvary I am looking forward to finding out a lot more about the man whose career spans 50 years.
The idea behind the book, which is a follow up to my 2015 publication, Lives & Times, is to raise funds for the charity and to help raise awareness about this awful illness, which is claiming 16,000 lives in the UK each year. However if detected early it is treatable in over 90% of cases. My Mum passed away last August following a long and courageous battle with bowel cancer. The new book is being done on her memory.
